Default skin shedding

hi everyone!,
i have noticed my hermanns have the odd flake coming off around the face/mouth area is this normal?.
does not seem sore the skin underneath look normal and it does not seem to bother them when i touch/tickle them on the face. probably me being paranoid but is nice to be able to ask you guys

also i bath them every day for about 10 mins as they seem to like it....is it ok to bath them this often? would it afected there skin?

hi mark/kate, yeah daily bathing is good, i bathe all mine every day..they love it and it helps to keep them hydrated and they tend to poo and wee in the bath wich helps keep their enclosure somewhat cleaner.

Shedding is totally normal just like lizards it comes off in small bits, bathing then basking really helps it but dont be tempted to pull it off. Excessive shedding is a lack of vitamin A (experts please correct me if i am wrong!) and that makes the skin go almost see-through.

Dexta has a huge bit poking up on his head

Shedding is quite normal, just leave it the flakes of skin will fall off when ready.
Keep up the baths it's good for your tort

Damn haha yeah thats right! I read a story about a woman who thought her tort was sick n the vet gave it vit a injections n it overdosed n made her tort see-through

I was nearly right!!

thats put my mind at rest ...thanks guys i will keep up the baths, they do look like they enjoy it winston likes to pull his head in and hold it under the water for a few secs
