As usual im having a stress
this time about Hector my horsfield His nose has for a couple of days seemed a bit wet Not runny or bubbly But this morning i saw the tiniest bubble Other than this hes normal, eating loads and wandering about, balancing off his log cabin the usual Im wondering wether to phone the vet in the morning or wether im being a bit TOO overly concerned>?

If it were me I would just up the temps and bath a little more often...and give him/her a little more heat at night...if it doesnt improve or gets worse then maybe a trip to the vets will help..

Kelly is right, sometimes it is a husbandry thing that makes them bubble. Equally it could be an allergic reaction to something too. Or something stuck up the nares. Being forwarned is a good thing, not a critisium but helpful advice:0)

I dont feel there is a problem with my husbandary. They are cleaned out once a month, and their substrate topsoil and playsand is plenty deep enough. when i say plenty i mean a good 3 inches atleast
I only handle them to put them in the bath and they are kept in a quiet room without and handling or people faffing with them. In our bedroom to be exact. Their night air temperature is around 20/21 degrees and i feel this is accurate because its a digital thermometer. As ive said numerous time we have over night storage heaters so if anything the bedroom they are in can be too warm [for me anyway] through the night But thanks all the same! Was dubious as to wether i should post the question on here, esp as in march Amber had suspected RNS altho the vet couldnt find any signs that it was for certain and i was given baytril to use through her nose to be on the safeside. And if you remeber id only had Rosie for 3 weeks and she was ill from day one. Lindsey And thanks Laura,im watching! ; sometimes i think im over senstitive and making a mountain out of a molehill . I Just like to be on the safe side.

I agree with all points made really, if you don't think it is their suroundings i would keep an eye on him/her if the condition worsens i would have a trip 2 the vets
Hope he/she gets better x

Some tortoises live with a odd bubble now and again, without any other problems. And are not contagious to other tortoises.
Experience will tell you if this is whats up with your tortoise. You obviously watch them carefully, so dont panic unless you see things getting any worse. Which hopefully they wont:0)
