I have just started to open the egg and the baby moved! Pics will follow.

Cover the hole with clingfilm and put petrolium jelly around the edges. Put in it's own container nested in damp kitchen roll, with damp kitchen roll on top.

Clingfilm just the hole? like a plaster do you mean? or wrap around the egg? had already done the rest you said about the kitchen roll etc.

Oh goodness Alley I don't know what to say, baby looks well developed , are you going to get it out now or see if it will sit in there for a day or two, my little Marginated was sat on a big sac but she did sit quietly in her egg for two days with just her head poking out. Let us know soon .
