How many eggs can you incubate at one time in a herp II incubator? I was looking at these on eBay x

Excellent news Emma..I know how your feeling
I used the herp nursery with success but you can't get that many eggs in there really..I could only use one shelve as I needed the other for water container to keep humidity up, xx

Can you only fit up to 6 eggs in there Lynne? Bit of a problem if you've got more than 6 eggs to incubate x

Thanks ladies.
There's two shelves plus you could put a water container on the bottom. If I'd had more time I'd have probably gone for a hovabator but the Herp nursery will hopefully do us fine. Its tidy, really easy to set up and isn't too big. I'm not anticipating that I'll be breeding my torts a lot. I think Tabitha has worn herself out a bit today and she's fallen asleep now. To be honest it suits me as I'd rather she didn't lay until tomorrow so the incubator can stabilise a bit. I'll be up and down like a yo-yo tomorrow, keeping an eye on her. Thankfully I don't need to go out much this week.

I have 10 eggs in my incubator at the moment in 2 small chinese takeaway containers, but you could squash in 6 per container. I have just bought a second hand Herp 2 and it has 2 shelves so I would have thought you could get several eggs in it

That's good then I have seen a second hand one for £50, I could make one myself I have enough polystyrene boxes in the loft, but by the time I buy all the extras it would come to that much anyway lol, you'll have to take some pics of your eggs in the incubatore Emma so I can see how you do it x

I could only use one shelf because I needed all the other spare space for water bowls and sponges otherwise the humidity was too low.
Not sure if it was just my herp nursery that was faulty maybe x
