Yes, The AGM, for example last year could so easily have run on, as there was much to debate, and in large part the contentious issues of Communication to and from the Committee, and the 2009 Conservation appeal were cut due to time constraint. However, out of respect for other members and the subsequent Speakers in the Symposium the AGM as I recall finished broadly on time: Were you there?

Date is roughly as alaways in march sometime.
Cost is higher as I said earlier due to one having to purchase the lunch one used to be able to just pay for the lectures
Speakers and topics always as good as ever.
Location for me a problem Ok if you live in the east, or london but not the west or south west, and no good road links.

The Milton Keynes venue is massively inconvenient for non drivers (like me). I think it should be done in a hotel style conference room in say Birmingham - central to nearly everyone, good public transport etc

That is a good point Milton Keynes is bad enough by road worse if you need to rely on public transport. It would take us ages!

gtm,
The AGM on the 11th April is in Bletchley, nr Milton Keynes. Rumour has it, that you will need an Enigma machine to work out where this is, let alone get too the venue!
However, those with a very good Satelite navigation system the address is:
The Royal British Legion
Melrose Avenue,
Bletchley,
Milton Keynes,
Bucks,
MK3 6PU
The BCG website just refers to the Newsletter alone for this information.
Very 21st Century!!
As the Committee have recently changed the venue from the earlier location wouldn't it be a good idea to publish the correct address on their Website?

Another day another whinge.
Where would non-internet users be without the Newsletter?
57 minutes walk from MK Central (or the bus)
29 minutes walk from Bletchley

NFI,
Exactly, Ill informed! as information about the 2009 Conservation appeal simply disappeared after last March. Given that represents something in excess of £6,000 of members money. I suggest the Editor should get a severe reprimand.
However, in respect of the Newsletter information, on the venue, time and date for the 2010 AGM: How daft, for the website to simply say refer to Newsletter 193!

But was Newsletter 189 after March 2009 (when you say all information disappeared) and before the court cases?
