Looking after a stray and need some help
Hi. I'm a veterinary nurse thats looking after a stray tortoise after she was bought into my practice. My knowledge is limited. I've no idea on breed, age or sex. She won't eat. I've bathed her and she's passed urine and faeces several times. She's active and alert when not asleep. Any tips really welcome!

Welcome to the forum You can post pictures (carapace and plastron) in the ID and sexing section http://www.shelledwarriors.co.uk/for...splay.php?f=32 and we can tell you species and sex.
Here is how to post pictures http://www.shelledwarriors.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=29355 Danny

Any ideas why I can't get her to eat? She's active and alert when awake but takes no interest in any food.

We'd have to know the temperatures in her set-up, under basking lamp, warm end, cool end and over night low? How long are your lights on for. It's also going to help with advice if we know the species of the tortoise you are taking care of.

She has a heat mat at the mo. I'm looking into what lights and heat lamps I need. I don't know her species! And I'm struggling with pics in here. Thank you
