How do you get an avatar

Hello I have been trying to post an avatar for some time now i have used photo bucket i have tried it from my mac but it won't work what do i do.

Click USER CP on top left of page, look down the left under SETTINGS & OPTIONS. Below that it says EDIT AVATAR. Click that and you will see the BROWSE button where you upload from your computer. Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller)

if posting from photobucket it would be the direct link in option 1 I think but it still has to be 80 x 80 or 19.5kb
