Congratulations on the new job! I work in a school nursery and know how tiring it can be. Something you get used to in time - I promise I was running around playing hide and seek with them yesterday and then got adventurous and was riding around on a scooter! My legs were killing me Who needs the gym when you have all of that exercise at work lol.
Is it a private nursery? The hours seem long. I was a student for a year in a private nursery and loved every minute of it. I applied for a job there but got the one in the adjoining school. I love working in the school just as much. It is soooo rewarding

Jo I am so glad you are enjoying it, and hopefully you will be taken on permantly. Next step after that, you'll have to learn to drive and get yourself a little car. You won't have to get up so early then

well, i decided, Im not gonna work there anymore. Yesterday i was cleaning ALL day!!...from 9-5 and it really p'd me off, i never had time with the children or anything. Was setting out toys and cleaning away toys and just general cleaning. I just phoned the nurseery and told them thanks for having me but its just not for me...The traveling on a bus for 1 hr a day and 1 hour home was annoying too as i had to be on the bus at 7.30am to be there at 9. They were going to offer me the job on monday but oh well, im sure another one closer will come up.

im hoping something more suitable comes along soon you could always offer to do some voluntary work in a local school it may get you your foot in the door and also adds to your experience and cv |
