My friend at school is a Muslim and is fasting during daylight hours for the next month. I said I would support her at work and so I don't eat or drink from 7am to 6:30pm... it is just a token. Her commitment is much more difficult because I have the weekends off. X x x x hugs x x x

Maybe you could name one of your tortoises Jesus, pronounced in the Spanish fashion, as surely that'd make him a good tort and not try to get near the girls!!

Now this is an odd one and for those who have had the pleasure to meet me probably won't believe this as im a fat bugger but I very rarely eat anything during the day so I can say I'm sort of fasting too. |

Like Gordon I tend not to eat much so to be honest it isn't much of a problem. I eat vegetarian as well so am careful what I eat so am very used to ignoring what food is around me. As for drinking, no that is not allowed and that can be difficult as it has been really hot. I am tending to drink a lot more water instead of almond milk which has got to be good for me X X X hugs X X x

But do you make up for this in the evening ! When I was a child , back in the 70s we had tnisian student came to live with us for a year ( he's like family now) and I remember him doing Ramadan , he was up at about 5 in the morning eating as much as he could and then again in the evening he would literally stuff his face I'm sure he didn't enjoy it !
