Thank you for all your kind words.

The good thing is I haven't rushed it as I wanted to check out shade/sun and what they seemed to like. Spoilt torts. It has been invaluable looking at all your photos too to give me lots of ideas.

We had to dig down and make the fencing high, as living in the country we have foxes, hawks and all sorts.

I put a nasturtium plant in today - all leaves eaten in on go.

There is no doubt I have the perfect place for when I put my chair in, it will be in the shade looking down their little garden. I am dreaming of sitting there reading, perhaps sipping Malibu with CBs celery and cheese all ready for dunking!

Also dreaming of more torts, but I think that will be a little while as need to get it finished and the indoor area revamped too. Meanwhile the vet patch only has potatoes, leeks and onions.

An early day one, anything goes but nasturtiums should flourish and keep root intact !

Thanks CB, today I have just done as advised and the next nasturtiam is under a basket. Brilliant idea. I had 4 old hanging baskets so they will probably all be used.

Well done Jan - a lot of hard work and thought has clearly gone into your enclosure. Let's hope it's a glorious summer so you can spend time sat reading whilst watching them. As CB says, that sounds like bliss!

I had to get a few tent pegs in the end though Jan to peg them down as one of my boys kept burying under and coming up in the middle absolutely soaking wet from the wet soil and then just sat there looking out. It was the reverse of the milk tray man ! CB

Mine seem to come up year after year in the same place. I've never seen blue ones, only red and orange. Blue ones would be divine!

As they ate the buds too I haven't seen any flowers as yet. I think they are going to be red and orange. I will post a picture when I have a full plant and try and capture them eating.
