Default Is this safe to feed

I think I planted this as a safe to feed plant but can't remember what it is. I thought it best to check just in case a bird had dropped a seed. X x x. Hugs x x x

No it's not knapweed, I have some of that and the torts don't like it which is a pity as I have two very large plants. X x x. Hugs x x x

I have had a look on the site where I bought the plant from and it is 'Greater Knapweed'......that's why the leaves are different. Good guessing Clare x x x hugs x x x

Yes I agree the leaves are very different, but the flower head is for sure one of those Centaurea type plants. My tortoises are not keen on this plant.

Neither are mine Jonathan.....bit of a downer that as the leaves are big so I get value for money. I think I will move it elsewhere in the garden.
I have been looking at getting some 'kidney weed'. Has anyone tried this for their tortoises?
I also tried them with a banana leaf, which they loved......does anyone have any thoughts about banana leaf suitability x x x. Hugs x x x

Stella is the kidney weed a wood violet? That's what came up when I searched kidney weed. I've got some of those and the torts like it. There are a few different wood and dog violets that are a bit similar.

Banana leaf I haven't fed by I have fed vine leaves and the tortoises ate it. My neighbour has a large vine in her greenhouse. The grapes are not that great, but the leaves are huge.

Kidney weed is a low growing plant that people in America grow instead of grass for lawns. Dichondra is the clever name for it. The Tortoisetable plant base says it's safe to feed but I have checked it out and wonder if it can grow in this country x x x. Hugs x x
