Foxes very rarely take tortoises-(sometimes take them as a play thing for cubs --like a ball)-more likely dug down again due to temperatures....

Only just over a week Jackie. I find the smaller ones go out & if they get cool before they get back to the greenhouse they must just dig down where they are! Either that or the fact their garden is bigger & a bit like a jungle with plenty of foliage which they like to stay out in!! Takes me ages to find them!!

I've had that too, the larger ones go back in their sheds and the smaller ones dig down where they are usually under one of the carex grasses I have to look under all the plants and usually spot a bum, or a bit of leg or their tail x
