Question old tortoise with worms .

i have a rehomer who i have had 7months ,about 6 weeks ago she pooed a worm , a 3 to 4 inch white worm , i wormed her that night then again 2 weeks later , but live worms are still coming out of her , the worms are very big , how long does it take for a tortoise to develop such large worms ,she had never been wormed before . i am worming her with 18.75% panacur paste .

Hello, one of my oldies had worms earlier this year, but the next time i had her poop checked about a month ago it was clear!!! I honestly believe that the grated carrot i give them once or twice a week on their food, is a natural wormer. I have given grated carrot to my lilly since she was a hatchling (she is now 4) and she has never had worms and i have never had to worm her either. X

I have used 18.75% panacur also on my other oldie and i administered 1 segment then 2 weeks later another segment, that seemed to work. If it doesnt work first time then leave it a while then worm her again X

I have recently wormed my old boy Toby, he had a bad infestation of worms, some being 6cms long. I wormed him with panacur granules but 2 doses wasn't enough so I was advised to do it every week untill no more worms.Just waiting for him to poo so I can send a sample off x
