yellow licence changes
As My Pandorra is 98mm and I think that is fairly accurate,I have measured her like it says on here. When she gets to 100mm do I have to change the licence into my name straight away?Do most people wait? What have you guys done about Microchipping?Sue has told me about the finger printing so I will do that too.I suppose there must be lots of people who have torts over 100mm and have not changed their licence yet

i think you only need to change the licence if you plan on breeding or selling her.

Yeah and I have no plans to to that so won't be doing anything about the paperwork. I won't be getting microchipping done either until much much bigger, if at all

bear in mind that if you don't update your cert and chipping is needed for the new paperwork you can't sell your tort if your circumstances change only give it away, I don't think finger printing is accepted by Defra as an alternative, the other choice is if you find you can't keep your tort at some time is to wait untill you've had him/her chipped and the paperwork to come through which could be up to a month before trying to sell your tort.

be sure also to take lots of photos showing the whole of your garden with the tortoise in it, a close up shot of tort but the photo showing something personal to you, also keep logs of torts weight/length, any unusual markings, photograph the markings, this all adds up to evidence in the hands of police
