congrats ! I hope some one who is really expert posts for you Jandh, there has been a lot of debate about helping out or nature take its course as in tort will find a way. I am no expert at all with eggs but from reading threads as you may have my view is a little helping hand wouldn't hurt but hopefully some one will post who knows for sure.

If he has his back end out I would say he has turned around as they come out head first if it were me I would leave it for a bit if nothing happens gently peel the top of the shell till you get his head out.

Put him on his table tomorrow.
When I get small babies I put them in a tub for a few days near the heat.

I've only hatched one but I keep the baby in a seed tray with substrate and the tray sits inside an enclosure. It's a lot easier to find baby when it's hiding if the container isn't so large.

What I do is to have the lamp partly over the seed tray so that a range of temps are available within the tray.

Yes a bath is a good idea to do daily. Take care with the temp and amount of water.

Forgot to say that I find pure coco coir to be a good substrate for the baby.

I got this idea from Stella and the baby finds it easy to dig and hide. Topsoil looked like hard work for baby to try to dig in. Also I find the coir is easier to add water to.
