new tort advice please
Hi everyone , just wanted some advice , i have just been phoned by a friend whos elderly aunt is now to poorly to keep looking after her old female tortoise , and has asked me would i give it a forever home , the old lady keeps the tort in her bedroom in the winter to hybernate. as all of my tortoises go in my very insulated shed in there special boxes , would you think it would be ok to have her in the shed away from the others , also , do you think it would be safe to move her while asleep , or before . thankyou

Moving her during hibernation would be less disorienting.
I don't see that there would be a problem keeping them in the same shed except that yours might stress out the new tortoise. Established tortoises do not respond well to change. Quote:
