Any ideas what to put in Bruce's cage?

What do you have in there at the moment?
How big is it?
What species is Bruce?
I would put :-
slate for Bruce to eat off
a cuttlefish
a shallow bowl for him to drink out of
some small rocks and stones for him to climb
A Hide
sand and soil substrate faly deep if he's a horsfield
Try and break up the area so he has to wander to find out what is there.

I have most of the things you said! Its 3ft x 2ft . Bruce is a hermanns. Thanks for your time and help!

I have a Hermann and he does like to climb, I have an arched piece of log roll that he loves to climb over. If yours is only young keep the arch quite low. I also have an old log and it breaks up the area and he can also climb over it, which he does quite often

Yes, he is only 4 months. I think he likes to climb to!

They are really good climbers, so you have to make sure nothing is too close to the side of the table as they will climb on top of it and try to get out
My mum looked after mine when I went on holiday and she kept him in an old samll avairy. One morning she came in to find he had climbed to the top of the cage. She was glad to see me home after that.

Hi Tommy. I always have a big but fairly flat piece of cork bark in with my Hermann's. They scramble around on it and it's easy for them to right themselves if they fall over cause its all gnarley Also it breaks up their line of sight, they can't see the whole enclosure and makes them explore. And do they love to explore. I also add tidbits of food into the nooks and crannies of the cork so they get some exercise finding it If you give the bark a spray with a mister once a day it also helps provide a bit of humidity I've found.

Ooh and plants. When mine are outside they'll sleep and rest under a plant rather than in a hide. I use artificial plants indoors, big broad leaved jobs. Doesn't stop them trying to eat them at first tho. I also give these a spray once a day. I think Hermann's like a lot of cover in the wild.

I like to give them as much flat space as possible. If you do put in furnature... try and make it useful so it actually increases usable space. The cork bark that one person posted is the kind of thing you want to use... Flat rocks or rocks that they can climb over are other items that are useful.

I notice many keepers add stuff to make the enclosure look pretty but they are actually removing valuable space.
