Doesn't it make you wish they could understand you saying "it's for your own good"?
Poor Dougal. Fingers crossed for the little guy *hugs*

Results are back - still very vague tho.
His white blood cell count is down and there doesn't appear to be any newly formed red blood cells floating round in there either. Really don't know what this could mean, but he's booked in for an xray on monday. |

Did they not test for anything else? I assume they must have done.

They said there isn't an infection, but they don't really know what's wrong....
just trying a slice of strawberry at the mo. Force feeding is NOT nice... But if it makes him better.... |

If you feed him strawberries there soon will be a problem - best to stick to what is good for him really.

I was going to go for clover or dandelion, but that's what the vet told me to feed him.
Just a very small amount. I'm going to be so worried when he goes in for his xray. They're taking him the night before because I really can't go in late to work at the mo. On top of all my worries for Dougal, I may be losing my job. The vet is in Manchester and I'm in Warrington. |

Has the vet said what they are looking for, are they definitely exotics specialists? It seems a shame to be taking him in again for an overnight stay just for an xray. Who is your vet please? Something seems a little odd here to my mind. Sorry about your job situation

He said something about Dougal's liver, but he was talking in medical terms.
It's Ashleighs in Manchester and the vet seeing him is an exotic specialist. They asked me initally to take him in first thing in the morning and then pick him up at night, but because of work there is no way I can drop him in, so they said it'd be ok to take him in the night before and leave him with them. |

I would ask for a print out of the results when they have finished his treatment so you have a record of them
