Aww, that looks so odd! I remember you saying that you just give them a wash, do you cover them with anything when they are setup like that? also being nosey about your incubator, is it a Brinsea Polyhatch? I was trying to see how you have the water, is it filled in the base with vermiculite then the water in the black circular tray?

Hi gordon, looks like you are busy!
What do you put in the lids? One of mine has just hatched with a bit of a yolk sac, and although I have tried the top part of a bottle she just keeps climbing up the side. She has had a long drink. Thanks!

Good morning Gordon, I love these pics, not only do they look quite content in their little armchairs, but it's a very useful pic for the rest of us, thanks for sharing. Lottey has got baby torts popping out like popcorn too!!!!!!

They are just washed of with some warm water and sat in the bottle tops with a good blob of Vaseline which i smear all around in the top so it covers any sharp bits and makes a seal between them and the top so sort of replicates still being in the egg as for them getting off i have used steri strips to hold them on before worked fine.
It is a Brinsea all i have done is blocked the holes up on the bottom and put vermiculite around the edges [corner bits] which i keep damp and fill the two rings up with water in the middle seems to hold steady at 75/78%.

Thanks Gordon, I will try that setup if I ever get any more coming out early.
I think your incubator must be a little different to the one that I am using as mine is an automatic with the turner off, I don't know if it has holes in the bottom as there is a metal tray thing in there I will have to look, it has 4 holes on the top which I covered as the humidity was too low with them open.
