Linda the sensible people are staying away have you not noticed

With regards to the heater. I don't think the paraffin will work no depends how its done. I have been looking at ceramic heat emmiters in water proof holders because of the potential humidity. fan heaters again would need water proofing, but i will find a way

Hi guys, a sensible person here!!!!! Well sometimes anyway.

Parafin heaters whilst emmitting heat are no good for use inside a house as the parafin is converted into moisture, which in a tropical greenhouse is what you are looking for.

Maybe someone else might be able to add further information to this. I assume there are no harmful fumes off these heaters to affect tortoises or butterflies.

*pants* no I think I'm there *pants* wish you had told me a wheelbarrow was avalible *pauses for breath* I have carried fo miles

Right ok I am now serious too.
My greenhouse can sadly only be 6ft wide due to space restrictions, but I will have a 6x12 area to work with. I'm considering an 8x6 greenhouse as is a starting size reccomended in my book.

Oh no where did that come from. Thanks for that Ade. I would be a bit worried using parafin just incase it was to fall over and set the plants alight I have though of a couple of tube heaters fixed to the floor and then maybe something hung in the centre of the roof for heat as well. I still need to look into the finer details.
