The thing is Merle, you got to not put things off now. You have to ask yourself what's important and where you see yourself.
It's always scary especially in this climate to make important decisions such as these but I feel you need to make one...either stay and do your best and put up with it or leave. A temp thing might just allow you to try other things, I'm sure you're well capable and enthusiastic so an employer will see this. Temp contracts can sometimes be extended or go to permanent ones. It'll be hard during the waiting stage...but you & Russ know that it is for the best and long term you'll be healthy and happy and in a job that you can start completely fresh with. But decision time has to happen soon, as this could go on and on, with no real change from either your employer or how you're feeling inside. xx |

Btw, I don't mean rash decision as in hand your notice in pronto, but seriously think of your options in terms of financially - Incomings v outgoings. Could you manage for a little while? What things you could cut out/budget on.?
Then a decision can be made xx |

Occupational Health is there so you have someone to talk to, and they will make a judgement call if you are fit for work or not. They will also recommend and give advice, so if I were you Merlin I would go there lay it all on the table and tell them what you think will help to put things right.
I would say a temp agency is a good idea, I am happy to have a look at your CV Xx |

Ooh Merlin, what a bugger your situation is. Neddy, what excellent advice you give (I used to work within HR - though not an HR person myself - and you sound just the ticket). Merlin, temp agencies aren't all bad. When I got some nasty ME thing, I quit my much-loved but exhausting job and registered with loads of agencies. Got some fabulous postings (and some crappy ones too) and job offers from some of them too. Don't lose heart, to make a space in your life means something better may fill it, and you'll wonder what this was all about.
Chin up lady. Karen

Well on Friday I was emailed the notes from the meeting the week before to go over and make sure I was happy with... I am in the process of emailing back, using the opportunity to expand on some points (when I am not flustered and being talked over) and to point out some of what was said really demonstrates some of the problems and that saying I would just add to peoples stress if I get signed off was inappropriate in the situation...
I know she will not be happy with me saying so but know it needs done...
