missing tortoise in merseyside
my hermans went missing a couple of days ago, it was in the back garden in its pen then later a wooden part of its pen was found to be out of place after being in the same position for 3 years, i am unsure if the gate down the side of the house was open or not as i was away at the time and my father was looking after it so it may be possible that somebody could have got into the back garden and found it.
the garden is fenced in all the way round so it couldnt have escaped into any neighbouring land and the pond has been searched, luckily no sign of it being in there! if anybody hears about anything please let me know! im pretty certain that she was a female and i think her birth year was 2004. she had an overgrown beak at the time she went missing and was due to get it trimmed

Hopefully she's dug down under a shrub in the shade somewhere. Really hope she turns up soon for you.

I'm sure you have had a good search of your garden, but do it again and again,
They can dig down and disappear, he/ she might be there, hope he is. Good luck.

i wish i had checked the forum sooner
my dad discovered today that somebody found the tortoise and then sold/gave it away! my dad went to their house to politely ask for the details of the new "owner" and they refused to give any information , is there anything that can be done? we have the certificate we were given when we first got the tortoise if thats any use but i dont think the tortoise was chipped
