She also sells the pre alpin foods, which I swear by to help to increase fibre levels when overwintering your tortoise.

It is a best before date which means that it is fine to use after the date but the quality is not guaranteed. This is the same for food that you buy in shops if anyone is interested. If over 1yr then I would probably use it but add it to other foods that are all fresh. hope this helps
