I was told to use aspen which I have at the moment but don't like it.
I have been told that readigrass is good.
Anyone have any views on readigrass?

I'd go with topsoil - it's also much cheaper

I would go with plain sterilised topsoil, no sand as this often irritates horsfields eyes

readigrass is lush I love the smell of it, a lot of people use a bit of it in their torts hide, but in my opinion you can't beat topsoil, as it holds a bit of moisture in it, torts often bury down in it which helps them thermoregulate their own temps and this can help prevent dehydration I hope this helps

Soil is the best i sell Tortoise Life substrate here http://youraccount.ekmpowershop11.co...ates-186-c.asp

It is soil, sand and added calcium. Its very good substrate

Alot of people use one half soil and another readigrass

What's wrong with aspen? I've been using it for the last six months with no problems.
