I was told to use aspen which I have at the moment but don't like it.
I have been told that readigrass is good. Anyone have any views on readigrass? |

I'd go with topsoil - it's also much cheaper

I would go with plain sterilised topsoil, no sand as this often irritates horsfields eyes

readigrass is lush I love the smell of it, a lot of people use a bit of it in their torts hide, but in my opinion you can't beat topsoil, as it holds a bit of moisture in it, torts often bury down in it which helps them thermoregulate their own temps and this can help prevent dehydration I hope this helps

What's wrong with aspen? I've been using it for the last six months with no problems.
