is your UVB bulb marked 'CW UK' ?

Hi I am new to the forum but I have kept reptiles and tortoises for years. I would like to warn other owners that someone is selling ordinary light bulbs on ebay pretending that they are UVB.

they are stamped with 'CW UK' which simply means cool white and they have no UV content at all.

Please check your bulbs and I suggest that you only buy proper boxed ones like the ones they sell on this site (not a plug!).

i would never buy this piece of equipment off ebay, like paulus states above only buy from a reputable source, I buy our powersun bulbs from.

Touche Turtle thank you for bringing it to our attention,it is always best to buy from a good supplier,The shelled Warriors shop is excellent

No wonder there are so many dodgy and poorly looking tortoises if the cheap bulbs are fake
