thank you ..... but why is he so big he 1410g the lady that got from was told they was all females he a very big male or can some males get this big ?

Whats its shell length?? Personally i would say female if its over 6 inches (15cms)

i would personally say that its a girl as my female has anal scutes like that and a similar tail and she weighs 1545 grams and shes laid her 1st set of eggs....maybe post these pics and a few more in the I'D and sexing section Get an overall pic of the plastron so u can see the size of the tail comparedf to the tort I would personally say a Female

Size can be defining, but you can get big boys. Cause could be genetic, diet... you name it.
Joe is a case in point... different species, large for a male, but 100% boy!

I'm going with Tracey on this one. If it was a smaller tortoise the scutes and tail would say male. Seeing though that she is over 6 inches and the tail hasn't gotten any bigger and the anal scutes haven't spread out, she just has a few male tendenancies. I'm going to say female
