Hey,
So yesterday Tetley and I had to go back to the vets. I wasn't looking forward to it at all. Anyway, Tetley had been on anti inflammatory and no change. The vet said that this probably meant he's not in pain as if he was the med would help and he'd use his leg properly. As Tetley is showing no signs of illness or pain the vet and I decided not to investigate further and just monitor him through the summer. All I would have is a name for this mass and if we operated he'd be in pain and indoors for the summer. Obviously if his condition changes I'll take him back straight away. The vet said things happen slowly in torts and doesn't think it's right for Tetley to have anything done as yet. I know I don't know what it is but if I did know would I have surgery on Tetley? I don't think I would. Others may have decided another course of action but this is what the vet advised and what I am comfortable with. I know hes poorly but not suffering and he gets to feel the sun once more. Happy to be home, Tetley smiles! X

That's good news, Row. At least you know he's not in pain.
Wishing you a happy summer with Tetley and Twiglet.

Thanks Suze. It was a difficult decision and not one I made quickly. I hope it's the right one too x x

that sounds good Row, and you both have a smile on your faces ! I remember reading in wolfgangs book they can also get calcium build up in the knee joint. A bit of massage may help too ? CB

Just catching up and I have been reading the posts with bated breath!
One thing I picked up was how you were feeling that you had failed him in some way. Of course you haven't, anyone that provides warmth, lamps, nutrobol etc and going to the vets cannot possibly be doing anything than trying to do their best. All that love too! You know Tetley best and so be confident in your decisions. I am so glad he is home with you.

So glad to hear he is not in pain, I think I would probably have made the same decision (as you wouldn't want him then to be in pain) I hope it is a glorious summer for the 3 of you (and the many more to come)
