Sparkling Eggs
These seemed to be more sparkly than usual. Looks like Fairy Dust sprinkled all over them! Anybody else find this with their eggs?

Yes I've found that quite often. It was also mostly with Spur-thighs.

You are right, it is the Spur Thighs!
Obviously ours are the only ones, or there would have been more replies? Any ideas on what happens? Must be something in the calcium. Do you know anyone who has researched the minerals of the shell? |

My tortoise laid her first clutch last year and 4 out of her 6 were just like yours she is an Ibera.
They are beautiful looking eggs arn't they

wow,sparkly eggs never seen torts eggs like these before,best of luck hope they are all fertile,makes my torts eggs look boring,i'm incubating five horsefield eggs at the moment.

I never had much trouble with sparkly eggs hatching.
