It certainly has.

Lovely to see your gang tucking into their food in the sunshine, Julia.

I agree, it's been such a gorgeous weekend. It's always a pleasure to sit and watch my tortoises do their thing.
I want to lay some new log roll and slate in their outside enclosure and revampe bits here and there. That's a job when the children break up from school (I work in a school)

Lovely pics. I do enjoy seeing torts eat.

Yesterday it was so hot my 2 were permanently in the dappled shade.

Lovely photos Julia. I have a male that looks a wee bit like the smaller tort in your third picture down.

I see you keep hermanni. Mine are Ibera, but I'm loving the idea she looks like your hermanni.
How big do yours grow? They don't grow as big as spur thighs do they?

Hi Julia - yes the hermanni hermanni is the smaller sub species of the hermann. I have one female that is 800 gramms now but that is over ten years of growth.

The males are smaller and I have a male from 2008 who is still under 400g.

Julia what does your large Ibera weigh in at?
