Jaeger incubator

Hi, does anyone use this incubator? I don't know anything about incubators but these look nice. Just wondered if they are as good as they look. Also it says 12v or 230v , what does that mean? Which do I need to get? And will it be ok to use in uk as they are German.... Many thanks

I've not heard of this make before. Most people use hovabators or I use a brinsea incubator. The different wattages might mean the incubators are different sizes or can incubate at different temperatures.

Thanks Helen, I have looked at the brinsea, but unless it says reptile , I'm unsure of which one to get.... Are they for reptiles?

They do do reptile ones. You just need to make sure it doesn't have a fan and doesn't turn the eggs itself. As a fan could dry the eggs out and reptile eggs shouldnt be turned in most cases.

I have a brinsea octagon 10. I don't think they make them anymore but they do an upgraded version. This one is just right for me as I don't have lots of eggs to incubate usually.

I've never had a problem with mine. Though I had to buy a digital thermometer and hygrometer just to keep a proper eye on the temps and humidity.

The voltage relates to the power supply you will be using to run it.

230v is the standard houshold voltage here in England. 12v is the voltage of most cars, so unless you intend to run it from your car, a 12v battery or transformer ,then stick to the 230v option.

I use a hovabator,very succesfully.

i use these incubators and the brinsea hatchmaker ,both work well
