Goodness Gordon that is an amazing sight is this all of them or are there some more to hatch or have some already found new homes? Did any of the other females get to lay eggs this year? xx

There are 8 left in the incubator as they don't ever seem to all hatch together for some reason.
No the others haven't laid and I don't think they will to be honest which is probably a good thing as I am running out of room.

How quickly do they grow? I can't imagine they'd stay in a table or small outside enclosure for long.

To be honest I don't know as I have never kept any back but I might this year.

Mary could tell us as she had hers from babies I think.

I had two of mine from hatchlings and by the time they were 20 years old they weighed 25kg so fairly quickly I guess. The good thing about them is that they don't require such high temperatures as they live in temperate forests in the wild. Still miss mine but as you get older moving them about becomes a problem!
