Guess the price of a tortoise in 1903?
Have a guess. I read it in a book from then but just interested what people think the price would've been and how they would've talked about the tortoise as a pet.I will reveal the answer in a few days time.
PS: Be as silly as you want to be

I'll guess a thruppenny bit. I can recall them selling for £5 when I was little. How I begged for one back then! The answer was a resounding no, which is why I appreciate my little lovelies so much now.
