(almost) Free Natural Slate Tiles
I know people sometimes ask where is a good place to get slate...
Twice recently I have managed to get Natural slate tiles for free and almost free from my local Wikes store. If you have a look through the big boxes of these tiles there are always broken ones. I pulled a few out, some only had a bit of corner missing and just took them to the till to see how much they wanted for them. The first time the kid on the till said I could just have them for free. The second time (close to closing) there was a manager around but he only charged me 25p per almost whole tile.
