Sandy thats so true.

Unfortunately Wendy came to me 16yrs ago from a family that had taken her on after the grandmother had passed away. But the children had taken her into the work shed and trapped her in a vice and proceeded to bore a hole straight through her middle vertabral scute using a hammer and chisel, luckly they were found in time , they said to the mother they wanted to see what was inside.

She went through months of veterinary care and is now a very dear old lady with great sentimental value and very healthy except a white boney mark on her carapace.

Well the family must have been barbaric, who in their right minds would do that to any animal.
Sometimes folk are unbelievable.

Poor Wendy I think its appaling what they did. I remember when you were telling me and mum about how she had her shell hammered. Just the thought of it still upsets mum a lot.

What stories Wendy could tell! I think if Timothy has his own biography, then Wendy should certainly have hers.
