Doesn't seem to want to burrow down
Hello everyone.
I was hoping someone could tell me if this is normal or not or throw some advise my way. My four year old male Horsfield doesn't like to burrow down into his soil and sand mixed substrate, I have tried submerging him a little when hes a sleep to try and entice him but come morning he has merged again. He does sleep under objects that I placed in his tortoise table, he particularly likes his flower pots! Should I be worried or is this normal behavior, many thanks in advance. |

My eldest tort I think came from someone who had her on redigrass and she doesnt know how to burrow down, however my youngest has always been on soil/sand and she can completely disappear under it! All torts are different

maybe the soil/sand mix is not moist enough, If it is too dry...to the point were it would colapse in on its self alot of torts will not dig down into it.
