Apparently if you are a person with this, the tumour can be removed via the nose but I think radiotherapy is the only treatment for cats. Not sure how it will effect him. They did say that it may make him feel a bit low. Good thing is, they said that at any point during the treatment I think he has had enough, I can change my mind and not continue with it.
I know that the other name for what he has is Gigantism and I hadn't noticed until last night but the back of his neck has bulked out and appears very muscular. He is a huge cat anyway but I don't like seeing these changes in him because I know what's causing it.
I just hope the treatment works.

Second treatment tomorrow. Hopefully this will go as smoothly as the first treatment. Finding it a bit tight at the moment as allthough we have insurance, you have to pay up front and it's working out at £400 a week.
Hopefully they will put a claim form in for us tomorrow
All worth it though. As long as George is in no way suffering, it is worth trying
Got a pic of his brain scan and it's quite a large mass. (8mm by 10mm).
George seems well and very cuddly

Your lucky you have the insurance, or is that more common over there then it is here in the US?

We will be thinking of you and hoping it goes well.

Thank you George is ok. Got to take him back for another radiotherapy treatment next wednesday.
I think pet insurance is becoming increasingly popular. I am so glad that we took out a policy.
Got my renewal quote today and was suprised that it has only gone up by £4 a month
