Similar situation coming my way very soon, my sincere condolences are sent your way & im sorry I can't offer much advice but I was told via a friend that their solicitor suggested that all possetions are only worth their second hand resale value, or eBay second hand used goods price ie a sofa might sell for approx £5 regardless of it being 10 years old and worn out or 6weeks old and never used.
