Default tiny bugs !!

if you click the pic theres a video of these tiny bugs can anyone tell me what they are there all over the red foots viv is there any way to get rid of them ?

Dont know what they are.. Maybe mites? You need to remove everything in the viv and wash it.. If I was you I would chuck any live plants and replace with new ones. You will also need to give your tortoise a good bath to ensure it has none on it

probably came in with the substrate or plants, they shouldn't do any harm but the only way to get rid of them would be to throw your bedding etc and start again. I always have a few tiny flies in my table but one of those stick up yellow fly catchers does the job, not the hanging ones but the double sticky sided yellow rectangle pads, I just stick it to one of the sides and its surprising the amount of little flies it catches along with my top/boobs/hair and anything else when I lean over the table.

they look like springtails but they don't spring they run stop run stop

nope no spring ive been prodding and poking them for the last ten minutes and they just run off

they look very much the same as what is running about in my viv but mine don't spring and are a lot faster

I had them in my soil and I didn't see mine spring either. If they are the springtails, they are harmless and just cleaning up the left over plant material.
