when to sow clover outside
i have 1/3 acre that i intend useing for my iberas in the spring,does anyone know when is the best time to sow clover seeds ,would i be better sowing now or leaving it till the spring.

I sowed mine about March and they had grown to full size by about June. Maybe if it's done now they will get a root system developed ready for spring time

Don't know really. I gardener once told me that this is the best time to sow grass seed but then that's not clover

I scattered loads of dandelion and clover seeds this spring on my lawn and the clover took realy well, the dandelions are just coming through now so I assume they take longer to establish. I go with spring time.

If I were you I'd do a small area now and the rest in spring and see what happens. It was red clover I planted and they didn't eat it so I pulled it all up again as it was getting out of hand
