I have noticed Dorothy go for white things too, in the wild they apparently eat old snail shells (which are bleached white by the sun).
Dorothy tries to eat the fridge door when he is in the kitchen...

Mine likes bird poo too! It's weird. And it isn't just white things because she won't eat anything white that's good for her.
Straight for the bird poop though. Big old sniff of it, makes sure she gets her nostrils nice and coated then chompety chomp. Until I catch her and tell her off. Then I make her have a bath to wash it all out. Mean tortoise mommy. There's a tree at the bottom of my garden and the birds drop poop onto the gravel below. I can't always see it to get rid of it, but it's like she can see it right from the top of the garden or something. ZOOOOOOM - straight to it! Feathers too actually. I have noticed recently she is somehow smuggling feathers back into her indoor run. I don't get it. Tortoises don't have pockets... |

Mine also find rabbit poo a delicacy (much to my disgust ). I've now started to give them Pre-Alpin in case they're eating bunny poop because they think they're missing out on fibre.
