Default Weight gain for Horsfield

Hi all

Ibiza my Horsfield has just gotten over a bout of RNS and she's now weighing 65g, when I got her she weighed 70g. She is steadily creeping back up last week she weighed 64g I was just wondering how much weight I should expect her to put on during a week/month. According to the Horsfield weight scale (mcintyre I think?) she is quite underweight anyway for her age and shell size, she should be nearer the 80g mark. She has just been wormed at the vets too so Im hoping she'll start piling it on!

Is there any tips to bring her weight up healthily?

Just don't over feed s/he, weeds with calcium on nutrabol is good, keep the diet as natural as possible, as long as s/he is health it will gain weight. try not to worry.

Most smaller speices of tortoise should put on between 2-3grms a month. If a tortoise has lost weight then extra gain up to the weight they were is ok. The McIntyre ratio is only a guide, its not set in stone
Keeping your tortoise hydrated is very important too, so regular bathing is needed.
