Hi Steve!

Welcome from me too! So, what kind of shelled 'monster' have you got?

Thankyou for your warm welcome. After months of studying the different types and breeds we are now very excitedly awaiting the arrival of two Indian stars from Marcus Langford so will post some pics in due course to be honest when we first started looking I never expected tortoises to be so interesting and fun but we have just removed all the plants from our garden and replaced them with weeds. I think the neighbours think we have gone mad

Hello Steve.Welcome.
I have Horsfield's and although I have had 2 torts for 6 years think of myself as inexperienced, but keen to learn. So far no real problems so haven't had the challenges of illness etc. Just coping with my anxiety of ensuring doing the best for them.
This forum is great, I have learnt so much. Really enjoy the photos that are posted.

We are exactly the same Jan. We've read so many articles on caring for them my head hurts and Marcus is very helpful but still can't help feeling anxious about the babies arrival. They are so small and delicate. I'm picking them up on Monday so fingers crossed all is well. They will certainly be loved

The Indian Stars are beautiful creatures Steve. Keep us posted on them. I opted for hermanni tortoises as I love the look of them and even with the weather I get here they can spend a lot of time outdoors.
