Me too Lynne, not practical to have nice nails all the time, well it isn't for me anyway lol, when I go out or on holiday I paint them with shocking pink by Rimmel the only colour I ever wear x

I never put nail varnish on and have never had a manicure. On the rare occasions I have worn nail varnish I find my nails break more easily.

lol so funny guys i used to do alot of gardening and what i found the best apart from gloves is soap i used to scratch my nails over a bar of soap before i did work so they were full under them and when im done wld just wash them lol sounds mad right lol x

Trouble is I have garden gloves but hate wearing them which is why I have cuts and bruises on my hands as well.....so ladylike lol x

Nope real nails I just make a point of using strengther on them and try to do them at least once every 2 wks thick coats tend to help them from breaking and strengther helps ... Like I say I work with animals 45 hours a week and then have my own to tend to so it is doable if you try

Mine are a mess as well years of being a chef they are never long they are always nice and clean tho I'm a bit OCD on that one lol

It sounds like I have dirty nails all the time and unclean which I'm certainly not lol, my hands are like this when I am doing stuff, I always have a shower or bath at the end of the day and they are clean then, no point me prettying them up to get ruined the next day and I'm not bothered about having pretty nails anymore, they wouldn't be nice if your hands were in muck and dirt every day lol x
