Chester zoo also had an Aldabran called Freddy who died at 175 years old , after his death he was sent for a pm (post mortem)and his date of capture waas engraved on his plastron , not full up on the whole story but will ask at work when i'm back.

Thats awful did no one know untill the pm? I can only assume you would not have much call to turn a huge tort over to look unless you really needed to? Nor be able to! Do you know what a tort that size and age weighs? Nicky
