Default We Wesley

This is Wesley a little weasal I have handreared , we got him a about 9 days old abandoned on a road side,he now 10 weeks old and a real character if a tad smelly.

You were right when you said I would love him, he looks fantastic. I am going to have to come and see him!

Rach not sure what his future is yet but release would be nice pending his vet check he hada serious head trauma which seems to have healed over but he does have a couple of problems one being a little imprinted

it's great what you are doing to help. personally i would keep it as a pet for 2 reasons.

one. you have reared and spelt alot of time on it and it would be a shame if it gcuaght in a trap and as it is had tame it means it will find it extremly hard to adapt to life in the wild.

Two. Weasal are registered on the british vermin list and this means it is illegal to release a vermin in to the wild (even if this is there origin) you would need to go through alot of legal legisalation and forms before you could legally do it. and it would have to be released in a certain zone. abit silly really for what lives naturally in our country. of cause ya could just release it but you could get a big fine and plus the whole point of forums like this are to respect the animals and the laws that goven them.
