crested geckos are not a gecko i would reconment for a novice and they require protein in there diet from live insects. they also need a mixture of honey and fruits which can be a problem if the mixtur eis not correctly made up.

you will find leopard geckos to be easy to need a varied diet to keep them interested in there food.

most iguanas are veggies, so look for desert and dawf one sif your after a smallish one.

if you were after a smallish lizard that is totally veggie/fruit eatter they i would reconmend a uromastyx, also known as dab lizards. these will only eat plant matter and are fiarly easy to keep. but please do all your research before gettign anything as i am sure you will do anyway.

also blue tounge skinks and pink tounges are readily avablie and although they will eat live foods they can be kept on fruits and canned dog food. although personally i would rear it as natural as possable.

take care

well amphibians is really a no for you unless you have a waterproof enclosuer for them. inverts such as millepdes and snails are fine but i am getting the feeling you want somthing better than that. hermit crabs don't require live foods and are actually cheap and very interesting. many veggie lizards are hard for biggers and even experts. but if you do decide to go down that route then it should be a uromastyx. readily avaible as captive bred, easy to keep, eat many of the same foods as torts and become hand tame within a few months. i no a few places wher eyou can get these from and have a care guide on them if your interested.

the tank seems a good size for one maybe two (what are the exact size's of it) they need abouy 80 degrees heat and uv lighting maybe a 6 %. well there many different types of them and they range from £60 -£300. but do have a good look around , only buy captive bred ones.

also chuckwallas are another good lziard to have and really easy to breed. there are 3 for sale in a shop near me for £160 for the trio.

note i have seen chuckwallas and uro kept with torts, but i don't agree with this. but it doe sshow how they have similar needs.

if you do want uros then i reackon you could pick a young one up for well under £100.
