Default WONDERFUL SURPRISE!!

I came out this morning to the pens to find the smallest of my adult female Italian Testudo hermanni hermanni nesting!!!!

I was able to get decent pics and 2 great videos: This is very exciting for me because these tortoises are my all time favorites and to actually have successfully bred them and then get eggs is a big deal for me. 8)

The even better news is that there are still other females that have successfully bred this season so there should be more eggs soon along with a few other species.

Lets just hope these are fertile So far this season all the tortoises eggs have been 8)
