Red face What wattage bulb

For night time temps, what wattage infrared bulb do you use? It's going into a 5ft long converted viv.

Not really a fan of using bulbs at night. I prefer to use ceramic heat emitters, they can be controlled by a thermostat to whatever temperature you want 100/150w for the CHE.

If you still want to use a bulb, i'm sure someone will answer your question

Im not over keen on bulbs either,so I use ceramic at night in my main setup, I'm just adapting a temp setup so don't want pay more than need be, I'd rather spend the cash on long term improvements, all help much appreciated. Thank you

I must say my tortoises that are in the shed like an infra red lamp at night when it's cold in preference to a ceramic but I think the choice is yours. Are we talking about a Med. species? 100w should be enough on a stat.

If you monitor your day time temps on a stat, it should give you a fair indication what you need for the night in a large viv. Of course it is going to depend on the temps in your house, so maybe 150w. if it gets too low.
