no money was exchanged for the female
where he got her from and when
his name and address

Im hoping defra might give me a artical 10 to register the babies.

What do you think? do you think i will get a artical 10 off defra
Have i included all i need from him, in the letter.

If I were you, I would add on the papers that the female is older than [...](the date that papers where needed for this kind of tortoises). And I wouldn't mind having my name on the list to reserve a baby or 2 from you as well ^^
Well done!
Which Chap?
These were not found via RFUK

Good luck with the new male.

For the female You may be lucky to get paperwork allowing the use for breeding only. But if you can provide proof she was imported pre convention then maybe a full cert will be issued.

You can not apply just because she was gifted, otherwise everybody would do it.
Regards andy
Thank you he stated the female was purchased before pancakes needed paper work
He said in a email:
The female was bred by the late Mike Sherborne of Tackley Road, Bristol who had a huge collection of tortoises but he kept Pancake tortoises before they required certificates. I swapped a leopard tortoise for the female Pancake with him and as a result she does not have any paperwork. Mike was well known in the tortoise community and when he worked was a keeper at Bristol Zoo.

I will ring DEFRA tomorrow morning and see what they say

Well i rang DEFRA and they were RUBBISH
Basically told me he should apply for the paper work and not me.
Ive told them i have a courier booked in and they are coming to me on saturday.
Basically the woman at the end of the phone had not got a clue.
I had to say about writting a letter and she said, yes make sure they include all details about how the enquired the tortoise etc etc
Then once i have the letter i have to send it to them and fill out a form.

Anyway

YAY THEY ARE COMING SATURDAY !!!!
