Default Building A cheap outdoor enclousure

I got round to building another simple enclousure today so took pictures so I could do a step-by-step guide.

Firstly you need to find some wooden pallets or if you can't get those then just some planks of wood would do.

You then need to either cut your wood to size or if using pallets dismantle them.

After this cut some pieces of wood to make corner supports which will hold the whole thing together as well as anchoring the enclousure to the ground.

Once you have all the wood you need paint it using an animal safe wood treatment. Its easier to do this before assembling the enclousure.

When the paint has dried you can start to put the enclousure together. Start by placing 2 of the supports down spaced apart and lay 2 pieces of wood between them. At this stage ensure there is a bit of thesupport wood sticking out of the bottom this is what will anchor the enclousure down. Once the pieces of wood are in place nail them onto the supports. This needs to be done twice.

Next you need to connect your 2 sections together using the rest of the planks of wood its pretty much the same as the previous step and also need to be done twice.

When you put the other side on your enclousure should look somehting like this.

All thats left is too anchor the enclousure in. To do this dig a small hole in each corner, place the supports into the holes, hammer them down and cover the hole with soil.

The enclousure can then be planted up and have rocks etc for the tortoise to explore.

If anyone would like more information please pm me.

Mods can I be cheeky and ask this to be made a sticky?
